NORTH SHORE, PGH – Starting this week, and continuing over the rest of September, we will take an in-depth look at the metrics and components that make up SwingTracker. We will start with the four components, beginning with Speed then continuing with Power, Quickness and Control. We will analyze the metrics, help to understand the ‘Science Behind The Swing’ and give a simplified explanation of what everything means.

Each component is different and uses various metrics. For instance, within the framework of Speed, there are four different metrics: Max Barrel Speed, Impact Bat Speed, Max Hand Speed and Forward Bat Speed.
Over the next few days as well as the entire month of September, we will take an in-depth look at these metrics and why they matter to maximizing one’s baseball swing. Plus we will also look at how they work, specifically as it applies to SwingTracker.
