  • Is there a SwingTracker User Guide?

    The SwingTracker User Guide is readily available for download as a PDF.

  • How can I download and install the iOS mobile app?

    The SwingTracker iOS mobile app is available for free on the App Store. The SwingTracker app WILL work well on an iPad, but make sure as you search the App Store you search SwingTracker or Diamond Kinetics under iPhone Only apps.

  • I have an iPad. Can I use the SwingTracker app?

    You can access the iPhone SwingTracker app on the iPad.

    The SwingTracker app will only be visible when searching under iPhone Only apps in the App Store.

  • How can I contact support?

  • What is SwingTracker?

    SwingTracker is a system — consisting of a sensor, corresponding iOS app and an exclusive online community site — to help players and coaches improve baseball swings.

  • How much does it cost?

    SwingTracker costs $149 plus applicable taxYou can order yours on the shop page.

  • What comes in the box?

    The SwingTracker package contains: A motion sensor, 2 sensor straps, USB charging cable, protective storage pouch and a User Quick Start Guide.

  • What mobile devices work with the SwingTracker App?

    The SwingTracker App works on an iPhone 4s or above, iPod touch (Generation 3 or above), and the iPad.

  • Does the SwingTracker App work on Android devices?

    No, the SwingTracker App does not currently work with Android devices. Contact us to sign up to get updates and other SwingTracker announcements.

  • Does it work for Left-Handed Batters?

    Yes. SwingTracker works for right-handed, left-handed and switch hitters.

  • Can I use it in a game?

    SwingTracker is designed as a practice and training tool and is not intended for use during a game.

  • Does SwingTracker work for softball?

    SwingTracker will work for softball, but the database of players used in order to compare metrics for softball are different.

  • Does the sensor strap fit every bat?

    We have designed the sensor strap to fit all bats.  Some bats may require a little extra effort and a longer time in order to fit the strap over the knob of the bat.

  • Does the sensor strap fit plastic bats?

    The sensor does work with Wiffle® Ball and other plastic bats, but a bat length and weight will need to be provided. The SwingTracker metrics are not optimized for plastic bats.

  • How do I set up profiles for more than one child?

    Each SwingTracker account requires a unique email to store and track individual player and swing data.  To set up a profile for more than one child, a unique email address must be provided for each new account.

  • I have more than one child playing baseball. Do I need to buy a separate SwingTracker for each child?

    No, you do not need to buy separate SwingTracker devices for each child. But, we recommend that you set up a unique DiamondCLUB profiles for every player using the device to best use the analysis tools available.

  • Does it require a subscription?

    SwingTracker does require a DiamondCLUB account. A 12-month membership is included with a SwingTracker purchase.

    If you do not purchase a SwingTracker, you automatically get a 30-day full-access DiamondCLUB trial of the most extensive set of swing tracking features available. Once the trial expires, you are able to see select metrics for the most recent swing session recorded, but you will not be able to view your session history or connections or access 3D drills or video.

  • What is DiamondCLUB?

  • Where can I purchase SwingTracker?

  • What is DiamondCLUB?

  • How do I set up my account online?

    You can set up a DiamondCLUB account profile here, or by clicking “Sign Up” when you open the app.

  • When will my SwingTracker order arrive?

    This shipment could take 7-10 days. The tracking link that you receive when your order is shipped will include an estimated arrival time.

  • I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

    You can reset your password in the app or online.

    Online: Click here to reset your password under the “Forget Password?” selection under “Sign In” in the top right corner of the DiamondCLUB login screen. You will need to enter your email address or nickname. You will then receive an email with instructions on resetting your password.

    For mobile: Click on “Forgot Password” in the “Sign In” screen and enter the email address used to register your SwingTracker account. You will receive an email with instructions on resetting your password.

  • How can I change my email address online?

    You can change your email address online in the account tab using the Change Email button.

  • Can I track my order?

    You will be sent a shipment verification email once your order has been shipped. Your shipping confirmation email will include a link to track your package.

  • Something is missing in my order.

    We are so sorry. Please contact us and tell us more so we can correct the problem.

  • Can I return SwingTracker?

    You can return SwingTracker within 30 days of purchase.

    To do so, click here to open a return request.  Please provide the reason for return.

  • How do I pay for my DiamondCLUB account

    You can pay for your DiamondCLUB account either online or in the SwingTracker app.

    When online and logged into your DiamondCLUB account, you can add a credit card to your account.

    When logged into a SwingTracker account for a trial or expired DiamondCLUB account, the system will direct you on how to upgrade your membership when you open the app. You can also select the “My Subscription” from the “Settings” menu on the top left menu and select “Join DiamondCLUB Now”.

  • When will I be charged for my DiamondCLUB account?

    If you paid online, your first payment will be charged when your trial period ends. If you paid through iTunes, your first payment will be charged to at confirmation of purchase.

    Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

  • Do I have to pay for the DiamondCLUB every month?

    Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase.

  • How to DiamondCLUB payments through iTunes?

    You can subscribe and pay for DiamondCLUB through your iTunes account. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase.

    No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when a purchase is made. 

  • How do I cancel my DiamondCLUB account?

    If you signed up for the DiamondCLUB online, you can remove your credit card from the payments menu.

    Visit the apple website for details on how to turn off payments made on your apple device.

SwingTracker App

  • Will the mobile app work on an iPad?

    Yes. Please see the list of supported mobile devices here.

    To download the app click here or select SwingTracker in the iPhone only apps.

  • How can I download and install the iOS mobile app?

    To successfully install the mobile app for iOS, please click here or follow the steps below.

    • Launch “App Store” on your iOS mobile device
    • Click on the Search icon and search for “SwingTracker”
    • Click on the “SwingTracker” application from the search results
    • Click on the “Free” button then click on “Install”
    • You will need to sign in with your Apple ID password to proceed with the installation
    • After the application is finished downloading it will be ready to use
  • How do I log out of the app or demo?

    You can log out of the app in Settings in the drop down list. Click Settings in the drop down tab in the upper left corner of the screen and thenselect “Logout”.

  • How do I pair my sensor with my mobile device?

    Follow the steps below to properly pair and link your mobile device to your sensor.

    • Fully charge your sensor
    • Select the Settings icon on your mobile device and then select Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is not enabled, turn it on.
    • Select “SwingTracker”. It may take 15-30 seconds for SwingTracker to appear.
    • 
It will take approximately 15-30 seconds for the sensor to pair with the device. When paired, you will see a “Swing Away” button on the dashboard of the app.

    Your iOS device will now automatically pair with your sensor unless you turn Bluetooth off or select “Forget this Device”.

    If you have issues pairing your device, confirm that your iOS device operating system is up to date.

  • Can I link my sensor to multiple devices?

    You can only pair your sensor to one device at a time. You can change the pairing of your sensor by following the standard pairing procedures

  • How do I use the app?

    We suggest that you review the “SwingTracker Setup” listed in the SwingTracker app’s Settings menu. Some key highlights of that tutorial include:

SWINGTRACKER SENSOR

  • How do you charge the sensor?

    Your SwingTracker sensor arrives with a charge, but we recommend you charge it fully before taking more than a few swings.

     

    1. Turn off the sensor.
    2. Flip the sensor upside down (green side facing up) and remove the USB cover to expose the charging port. Insert the small end of the provided USB charging cable into the exposed port.
    3. The status indicator will begin to flash red.  The status indicator will flash a solid red light when charging is complete. This may take up to 3 hours.
    4. When done, remove the charging cable from the computer and sensor. Securely place the USB over back over the USB port.

     

    Never force a charge cable into a USB port of your SwingTracker sensor.  If the charge contact does not easily fit into the USB port, confirm that they are properly aligned before attempting to insert again.

     

    ONLY use the USB charging cable provided to charge your SwingTracker sensor.  Diamond Kinetics is not responsible for the operation of third-party accessories.

     

  • How do you know if the battery is running low?

    In the SwingTracker app there is a battery indicator at the top of the screen that alerts you when your sensor battery is running low.
    Once the battery is at a critically low level, the sensor will no longer capture swings, send data or store swings.

  • How long does a charge last?

    On average a full charge will last 7 continuous hours.

    To maximize the charge, we suggest turning off the sensor when not in use.

    The SwingTracker app has a battery indicator at the top of the screen that alerts you when your sensor battery is running low.

  • How do I make sure that I don't exceed my data limit on my mobile device?

    In the SwingTracker app under “Settings”, you can turn of “Use Cellular Data.

    If you do not turn cellular off, we recommend that you connect to a wifi network in order to reduce data transferred over your data plan.  This is especially important if you are uploading a lot of videos.

  • How do you turn the sensor on/off?

    To turn on, quickly press the center of soft DK logo button on the top of the sensor until a green indicator light will come on.  You will feel a bump in the center of the button to indicate where to press.

    To turn off, press and hold the soft DK logo on the top of the sensor until the green indicator light turns off. You will feel a bump in the center of the button to indicate where to press.

  • What happens if I forget to turn it off?

    After a period of inactivity your SwingTracker will go into a sleep state to preserve battery life.  It will automatically “wake up” and return to full active mode once it is moved.

  • How many swings can the sensor capture before it is full?

    There is no limit to the number of swings SwingTracker will capture if you are in ‘online mode’ and actively paired with an iOS mobile device or tablet.

  • Is the sensor waterproof?

    The sensor is water resistant – NOT waterproof.  Significant exposure to water may cause damage to your device.  Take care not to spill any food or liquid on your device.

     

    If it gets wet, do not dry the sensor with an external heat sources (hair dryers, microwaves, etc).  Instead allow it to air dry thoroughly before attempting to use it or charge it.

    If the sensor is damaged as a result of exposure to liquids, it is not serviceable and is not covered by the manufacturers warranty.

  • Can you use the sensor for batting practice if it is raining?

    No, the sensor is not waterproof.

  • What is the proper way to clean the sensor?

    You should always clean and dry the sensor if it becomes noticeably moist or dirty.

    To clean the sensor: Gently wipe with a soft cloth or towel. Never use solvents to clean the sensor. DO NOT submerge the sensor in water as it is not waterproof.

    To clean the strap: hand wash with mild soap and warm water, rinse, then towel or air dry.

  • Can I charge the Sensor with a wall charger?

    Currently, the only supported way to charge the sensor is to use the provided USB cable attached to either a PC or Mac.

  • How long does it take to charge?

    If your sensor is fully depleted, it will take about 3 hours to charge.  The higher the starting charge, the less time it will take to be completely charged.

  • How should I store the sensor?

    Store the sensor in the provided protective pouch.

    Keep the device stored in a cool, dry place at room temperature.  Avoid extreme temperatures.

    It is ideal to operate your sensor between 32°and 95°F / 0° to 35°C.

    Avoid dramatic changes in temperature or humidity when using your Diamond Kinetics sensor, as condensation may form with the sensitive electronic components of your sensor.

  • I lost my storage pouch; can I buy a new one?

    Contact customer support at support@diamondkinetics.com if you are interested in an extra pouch.

  • Does the sensor strap fit every bat?

    We have designed the sensor strap to fit all bats.  Some bats may require a little extra effort in order to attach the sensor strap to the knob of the bat.

  • How do you best attach the strap and the sensor onto the bat?

    To attach the strap to the bat, follow the below steps:

    1. Place the end of your bat on a firm surface with the knob pointing upward. Stretch the round hole in the center of the sensor strap over the knob.
    2. Position the sensor, with the green rubber side downward, on top of the bat knob.  Hold the sensor in place with one hand.
    3. Pull each of the three strap ends over the top of the sensor so that the top and button of the sensor remain completely free of the strap.
    4. Confirm that the sensor is firmly secured by nudging it.

  • Can I buy extra sensor straps?

    Contact customer support at support@diamondkinetics.com if you are interested in extra sensor straps.

  • I broke one of sensor straps. What do I do now?

    Your SwingTracker product comes with a total of two straps.

    To increase the longevity of your straps, gently pull one tab on/off the sensor at the time.  You can review the tutorial video for assistance on using the straps.

    Contact us at support@diamondkinetics.com to purchase new straps.

  • How does data move from the sensor to my mobile device?

    The sensor will use Bluetooth to transfer swing data from the sensor.

  • How do I know the sensor is collecting data?

    Take a swing and make contact to register a good swing. Check the SwingTracker app to confirm that the swing is being captured or if the app did not register a swing.

    If your sensor is not collecting data:

    • Confirm that your sensor is turned on by checking the flashing green LED visible through the button on the top of the sensor.
    • Confirm that it is connected to your device by touching the Swing Away tab on the dashboard or in the upper left menu. If you are connected, it will say “Swing Away”.  If you are not connected, it will say “Connect Sensor”.
    • Update your Load Position for your bat under “Settings” in the app before starting your next batting session.

  • How would I use SwingTracker for my team?

    SwingTracker can add new dimensions to your coaching sessions.  With SwingTracker you can provide tangible facts and data to the swing feedback you deliver to players.  Plus, you can create groups for your players and access their swing data to make training and drill suggestions and review their progress between sessions.

  • Can I access a player’s data from my mobile device?

    Yes. You can easily add and manage the data of a whole team of hitters and quickly switch between each player during batting practice.

  • Is an email address required to add a new account?

    Yes, we do require a unique email address to add a new account.

  • Can a coach/admin access a player’s swings from another device?

    A coach can access a player’s device from any device that they sign into using the app or the website.

PRIVACY

  • Does Diamond Kinetics share my personal information with third parties?

    We take privacy seriously at Diamond Kinetics.  We do NOT share any personally identifiable information with third parties without explicit user or parent consent.

  • What happens if my child registers an account on the SwingTracker app or DiamondKinetics website?

    When a user age 12 or under registers with Diamond Kinetics, we seek parental consent to allow them to use any of our services that require collection of personally identifiable information.

    Users under the age of 12 who attempt to register with Diamond Kinetics will be asked to provide their first name, first initial of their last name, a screen name, and a parent email address.  Diamond Kinetics will then engage with the parent of the user for permission prior to collecting any additional personal information.

  • Can I change what information my child can share?

    For users age 12 or under, we only collect the minimum information needed to register for the account and seek parent permission. Users age 12 and under cannot access photo or video sharing functionality without verified parental consent.  Parents have the ability to change the functionality shared.
